Grateful Day 17: Little Niceties

I am grateful for all the little things that I use everyday that I consider niceties.  One of the biggest is my cell phone.  I often think - how did we survive before having Smart Phones.  I remember pay phones, pagers, brick phones, flip phones and so forth.  Now, I have a mini computer at my fingertips.  I love, love, love my smart phone and can't imagine not having it.

I am grateful for apps on my Smart Phone to help me do all kinds of things like find my phone, find my boys, get waiting times at Disneyland, figure out gratuity, keep track of everyone's calendar and help me keep up with all the things I need to-do.

I am also grateful for DVR - When I am able to watch a show that I love and bypass all the commercials or pause a show because I need to tend to something, I know that I am blessed.  I find myself getting annoyed now when I don't have a show recorded and have to watch it live because I can't speed through it.

Mostly, I am grateful that I am able to live in a time when we have all the modern conveniences as well as all the niceties that we enjoy.  I KNOW that I have never express gratitude for those things but I do consider them to be my treasures.
