Pumpkin Patch - October 2011

Yesterday we met Grampy, Grammy, Scott/Jaqui's family, Kyle/Allyson's family at Schnepf Farms to pick some pumpkins out and just have some fun at their pumpkin patch. The kids had a blast. They rode rides, did the bike races, picked out pumpkins and had their faces painted. The day was gorgeous and we all had so much fun!! Plus there were tons of pumpkins to chose from so it made the day well worth it!

Hunter's Eagle Project - Book Drive

For any of you that know us, you know that we had stopped pestering our sons to get their Eagles. We didn't want "mom" to get to Eagles - we wanted our boys to get them. Hunter has had his project in motion since late 2008 and just in a holding pattern. Finally, with a little prodding from great YM leaders, he has not only moved forward but so far been hugely successful. We are really proud of his efforts and want him to know that we are his biggest supporters.

Bryson Gets His Life Rank

Bryson realized about a week before the Court of Honor that this Court of Honor would be the last while he was a Deacon. He had set a personal goal to have his Life rank by the time he was a teacher so with 4 days left, he coordinated and collaborated with all the merit badge counselors, convened a Board of Review and was awarded his Life rank at the Court of Honor. Brian and I were so impressed by his tenacity and drive. We are proud of all 3 of our Life Scouts - soon to be 3 Eagles. Way to go boys!! We love you bunches!
