Yep! This "Little" Boy Is 19!!

For Hayden's birthday, he wanted to go with his brothers and dad to watch the full "avengers Assemble" movie which consisted of all 9 Avengers movies within a 36-hour time frame at the local Harkins movie theater.  They started off great but as the hours passed by, they had to trade off leaving to come home to sleep ~ with the exception of Hayden.  He was the only one that made it all 36 hours.  But they were all together for the new release of "Avengers - Age of Ultron".  Hayden loved it and of course loved being the only one that made it the full time!
Happy Birthday My Super Hero - Hayden!

Bryson's Broken Foot

Bryson was helping his brother take down our holiday light and was balancing the ladder.  When they were done, the older boys hit the side buttons and didn't warn Bryson to catch the center rung and it came down with tremendous force right onto his foot.  Bryson said it hurt but the foot didn't swell or bruise.  We wrapped it up and after two days, he count' put any weight on it so we decided we better go in.  Didn't I feel like "World's Greatest Mom" to find out that his foo is broken in 2 places and one of the breaks severed his foot bone from the foot itself.  They put him in a walking cast and loaded him up with crutches and pain pills and sent us on our way.
A few days later, he saw Dr. Newswander and sure enough... broken and broken good.  The treatment plan: 3 days pain meds, 3 week no walking without crutches, and 3 months in the boot. No surgery needed at this point but they are watching it.
Bryson is a trooper for sure and I am super proud of him and the way he has handed the setback.  Not a fun way to start the summer.

Easter Sunday 2015

So fun to have all 3 home for Easter this year... Still lined up and were excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought

Easter "Eggs"travaganza" 2015

One of our favorite traditions is the annual egg hunt.  We separate the grandkids into the "little" kiddos and the "big" kiddos.  The "big" kiddos hide the eggs for the "little" ones and the adults hide the eggs for the "big" kiddos.  This year, there were eggs on the roof, at other houses, in exhaust pipes and all kinds of crazy places.
One thing is for sure - they all love it even if they are 21, almost 19 and 17!

Changes

Life is full of changes... so often, we are headed down one path only to be pushed or pulled onto another.  We may not understand why things happen or understand the timing but the most important thing we are certain of is our unconditional love for one another and continued loved and support no matter what choices are made.
