I love Valentines Day because it is a day set aside to show abundance of love to your partner as well as your children. I think that this love should be shown every day but having a day set aside is very special too. I want the 4 men in my life to know how much I love and adore them. I am so blessed to be the mom and wife of our family and am grateful that I was chosen to fill that capacity. I never realized how much love I could have for these 4 very special individuals.
When Brian and I were dating, I remember thinking (and I know it's weird but be honest girls, we all do it) that I would never have to spend another Valentine's Day alone. I did not know though how much I would love him and how that love would grow exponentially over the years.
And then Hunter came along... I remember my dad saying before he was born that I wouldn't know how much love I had for a person until my newborn was in my arms. I didn't understand until the moment Hunter was born and I held him for the first time. As Hayden and Bryson came, I worried that I would have to share that love that I had for Hunter and divide between them. Again, I remember my dad telling me that love isn't divided - it's multiplied. And again, he was right. I held Hayden and Bryson for the first time and realized this complete overwhelming love for my children as well as my loving husband.
I want them to know how much they are loved by me and that my heart is very full with gratitude and appreciation for them all in my love. They are gifts to me and I treasure them! Happy Valentine's Day lover bugs!
